Apologetics 101
Podcast 1: Introduction to Christian Apologetics
This video provides a general overview of the definition and scope of Christian apologetics, its biblically mandated purpose, and the potential benefit to the non-believer as well as the believer. In addition to ample theological and philosophical content, important personal stories of the spiritual impact of discipleship, witnessing, and apologetics has been included.
Podcast 2: The Arguments for the Existence of God
This program will examine the Kalam cosmological argument, the argument from contingency, the teleological argument, and the moral argument for God, among others. Some famous debates will be examined in detail to understand not only the evidence for the historicity and/or philosophical rationale in defense of the Christian faith.
Podcast 3: The Historicity of Jesus Christ
The third program will focus on the evidence that establishes the historicity of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Biblical as well as extra-biblical sources will be examined. The argument for and against the resurrection will also be discussed. This episode will analyze biblical and extra-biblical evidence to defend the historicity of this event. this issue to the Christian faith.
Podcast 4: The Authority of Scripture
The fourth program will focus on an area of deep concern within the church today; that being, the authority of Holy Scripture. The theological foundations of the authority of scripture as well as the perspective that Jesus and the Apostle Paul shared on this matter. Attacks on scriptural authority are not new, but the issue seems to be enjoying a broader appeal in a postmodern 21st century.
Podcast 5: The Canon of Scripture
The fifth program evaluates the canon of scripture and the evidence that reflects a supernatural guidance to the collection and organization of the Bible as God’s Word. Cynical claims that the Bible was established as a formal canonical collection at the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. will be confronted and refuted.
Podcast 6: Christianity and Culture
This podcast will examine how doctrine shapes the Christian view of reality and drives rejection of lies and propaganda. Culture is having a direct and destructive impact in the evangelic church and although the church is commanded to resist influence by external forces and instead, the reverse should be occurring (Matthew 5:13-16)
Podcast 7: The Transmission of the Text
This program explores the transmission of the text from the first century and beyond. Further teaching would include evidence of why the contemporary Christian can be confident, based on textual criticism and transmission tracking, that they have the Word of God as He intended us to have.
Podcast 8: Bible “Difficulties”
This video will explore some common Bible “difficulties.” Although many books have been written on this subject, this podcast program will attempt to cover the most common and most egregious of the assaults on the truth and legitimacy of the Bible.
Podcast 9: Christianity and Culture
This video discusses the many popular arguments against Christianity, including the assault on biblical inerrancy, the abuses of the Christian church (both historical and contemporary), and the failures of Christians themselves as evidence against the life-changing claims of evangelical Christianity.
Podcast 10: Other Amazing Evidences
The final podcast will provide an overview of some of the other amazing evidence regarding the claims of Christianity. Modern day miracles will be examined as well as the multitude of evidence regarding near-death experiences. Fulfilled prophecy and personal healing experiences will also be explored.
